inSSIDer is an award-winning free Wi-Fi network scanner for Windows Vista and Windows XP. Because NetStumbler doesn’t work well with Vista and 64-bit XP, we built an open-source Wi-Fi network scanner designed for the current generation of Windows operating systems.
John’s Background Switcher collects images from Web sites like Flickr, Picasa, and more–or pictures from your own folders–and displays them as desktop wallpaper at intervals that you define. You can even subscribe to image sites that use RSS feeds.
Though you can access only one image source at a time–you can’t, for example, set the program to feed from both Flickr and your own My Pictures folder simultaneously–John’s Background Switcher gives you a tremendous amount of control over what you do see. Right-click the program’s icon in your system tray and you can jump to the next image in the queue, go back to a previous one, “blacklist” images you don’t like, browse the pictures that have been downloaded so far (though I couldn’t get this function to work), save images to your hard drive, and much more.
